The story
The Aztec Flower War, or Xochiyaoyotl, was a ritual war where killing your enemy broke the rules. For 65 years, from 1454 to 1519, the Triple Alliance fought Tlaxcala, Cholula and Huejotzingo for captives rather than kills. The video walks through the religious argument, a dying Fifth Sun that needed feeding, and the political one, a managed enemy kept close and resentful.
Then comes the twist. Hernan Cortes found that managed enemy and turned it into an army, and the video closes on what that cost the empire. The whole story runs five minutes, in seven clearly labeled chapters.

Why it works
- It belongs to a pillar. The video is one entry in a playlist called War Rituals So Metal They Should Be Myth. Every new episode makes the others easier to find.
- It hands the viewer the next video. The description points straight to the previous episode on war rituals, so a viewer who finishes one has an obvious next click.
- The description is written to be searched. It names the event every way people look for it: Aztec Flower War, Flower Wars, Xochiyaoyotl, Tenochtitlan, Tlaxcala. That is search coverage without stuffing.
- Chapters do double duty. Seven labeled chapters let viewers jump around and give YouTube and Google clean key moments to show in search.
- It ends the same way every time. Learn hard. Live loud. A signature sign-off turns separate videos into a show people recognize.
What your business can take from it
A roofing or home service channel can run the exact same play. Pick a pillar like Storm Damage 101, publish one short episode at a time, label the chapters, name the problem the way homeowners search for it, and end every description by pointing to the next episode. One video becomes a library that keeps working.
