We Gave a Marine Veteran a Free Roof (Before & After)

A two minute roofing story made for Gold Medal Roofing: a Marine veteran, an insurance gap, and a crew that stepped in.

The story

U.S. Marine veteran Bill Bruno needed a new roof, but after depreciation his insurance coverage left him with little to no help toward the replacement. Gold Medal Roofing donated a brand new roof at no cost.

Branch manager Jensen Wismar and the Gold Medal crew share why supporting veterans and giving back matters to them, and the video follows the whole job from tear-off to the final reveal.

Why it works

  • It leads with a person, not a product. Eight seconds in, you meet the homeowner. The roof is the backdrop; Bill is the story.
  • The before and after is the proof. Tear-off, install and reveal show the craftsmanship without a single claim from the company.
  • The crew speaks for itself. Hearing the branch manager explain why they did it builds more trust than any slogan could.
  • It respects the viewer's time. The whole story lands in under two and a half minutes, short enough for social and long enough to feel real.

What your business can take from it

Every roofing, remodeling or home service company has jobs like this one: a homeowner with a story, a crew that shows up, and a visible before and after. Filmed and edited with care, one job becomes a video that works on YouTube, on the website, in ads and in the sales conversation for years.
